What’s Wrong with Teamwork?

When I led a team the old way, I felt trapped and unhappy. But because everyone else around me was trained to follow the same approach, I sometimes wondered if the problem had to do with me, or the system itself.

I then went to work figuring out if the teamwork approach was flawed. What I discovered changed my life forever.

I realized the way most organizations built teams had the following weaknesses:

High Turnover

Team members were hired and quit in an endless cycle.

Low Loyalty

Team members were always in search of better opportunities. And when they found them, they’d leave.

No Independence

Team members depended on me to take charge when things went wrong. And things went wrong all the time.

Short-term Success

I was earning a solid income. But I was working around the clock with no relief in sight.

When you reflect on your career experiences, you’ve probably witnessed similar flaws. Perhaps you wanted to improve your circumstances but you didn’t know where to start.

The good news is there is a proven strategy to create lasting change. You just have to be willing to question old approaches, maintain an open mind, and embrace new ways of thinking and working. Are you ready for the challenge?
